What Our Clients Say
"Used them at two properties now. Both times they diagnosed it on the first visit instead of guessing and coming back."
"The photo eye was misaligned so the gate refused to close after dark. Ten minute fix. He also cleaned the lens and pointed out that a sprinkler head was spraying it every morning, which is why it kept happening."
"The loop detector under the driveway had failed and residents were stuck holding the button. He traced it, found the break, and had the exit loop reading cars again the same visit."
"The gate works properly now and the price was fair. It did take two visits, because the operator we have is old and the part had to be ordered. They did not charge for the second trip."

The part decides how long the repair lasts. Here is what we fit, and what the cheap version costs you later.
Gate Operators
The operator is the motor that moves the gate. It absorbs every open and close, so its duty rating decides how many years you get out of it.
We install operators sized to the real weight of the gate and its daily cycle count, with a metal gear train, a soft start and stop, and a proper manual release.
An undersized residential operator on a heavy gate runs at its limit on every cycle. Plastic gear trains strip, the motor overheats, and the unit is finished in a couple of seasons.
Hinges
Hinges carry the entire weight of a swing gate. A gate that sags almost always has a hinge problem, not a gate problem.
We use heavy welded steel hinges with greasable bearings and adjustable posts, so the gate can be brought back to level later without cutting anything apart.
Light bolt-on hinges with a plain steel pin wear oval within a year or two. The gate drops on the latch side, drags on the driveway, and starts binding the operator.
Chains and Racks
A sliding gate is driven either by a chain or by a toothed rack. Either way, that part takes the shock on every start and every stop.
We fit galvanized heavy-pitch chain, or steel rack welded on a straight line and tensioned properly, so the load spreads across several teeth at once.
Thin unplated chain rusts and stretches until it jumps the sprocket, and plastic rack teeth shear off in cold weather and leave the gate stuck in the driveway.
Control Boards
The control board is the electronics that read your remote, your keypad and your safety sensors. It also takes the first hit in a power surge.
We install boards with a conformal coating and surge protection, mounted in a sealed weather-rated enclosure and properly grounded.
A bare board in a loose plastic box collects condensation and insects. One nearby strike or one wet week and the gate stops responding to anything at all.
Safety Photo Eyes
Photo eyes are the beam across the driveway that stops the gate when something is in the way. They are the difference between a nuisance and an accident.
We install sealed weather-rated photo eyes on solid brackets, aligned and tested, and wired so that a sensor fault stops the gate instead of being ignored.
Unsealed indoor-grade eyes on flimsy brackets drift out of alignment with the first bump, and the shortcut fix is to bypass the safety input so it stops tripping.
